Protect Yourself Against Gadget Failure With Insurance

Technology within the last decade has grown increasingly to become amazing. With new recent breakthroughs in the form of the new iPhone being able to recognise voice recognition to the new announcement that Microsofts Project Natal for the Xbox 360 is set to have full body motion sensing capabilities with no wires and nothing plugged into you in any way at all.

However, what happens when it breaks down or you drop it? Many manufacturers are going wrong with repairs because it some cases, the price to repair the item is higher than the price you paid to buy it. A lot of the time it is their fault for not making the product as good as it should have been to begin with. Although the Xbox 360 has been proven to be the best console in this latest console generation, it does have one problem with it. The red rings. Now to any Xbox 360 owner, when they see the three red rings, it’s just the same as handing your wallet over to a thief. The only way to not pay for a repair is if your console is still within warranty, if not, you will have to ship it off and they will charge you around 50 pound for a problem that should not be a problem.

It was very rare if one of your older consoles ever broke like the N64 or Playstation 1, but now we are not just seeing Xbox 360 failures, a large amount of PS3′s and Nintendo Wii’s are also being sent away to be fixed. The reason for the rise in repairs could be down to the large amount of games that are being released recently so more people are playing their consoles, or it could simply be that the manufacturers are just churning out the consoles to make money and not fix problems.

There is a solution to this and it comes from gadget insurance. You can protect for 20 pound each month and that will allow you to cover any 5 of your chosen gadgets. Although the price does seem high, it’s alot less than if you had to repair just one of your gadgets each month. The primary reason is because the cost to repair gadgets, if you dropped your iPhone, you would get given a 100 pound repair bill. So if you look at it from that perspective 20 a month for insuring five gadgets is a better deal than having to pay 100 for something that you could drop again and again. As well as this, for fixing consoles like the Nintendo Wii, sometimes it would be cheaper to buy a new one as they can charge you up to around 180 pounds for a repair.

Of course if it is just the one product you want to insure, even if it’s not a gaming console, you can simply pay for Xbox 360 Insurance for cheaper. Unfortunately, a great deal of home emergency insurance policies don’t cover any damage or theft to your gadgets.
